Welcome to Fire Hole Pottery!

Carl Sheehan, a graduate of Montana State University, is a professional ceramicist and the resident/visiting potter at Yellowstone National Park for over 30 years. Catch Carl shaping ceramic art at the Old Faithful Inn on the following dates during your travels in 2017:

June 5 - 9, August 7 - 11, & September 11-15, 2017.

Each piece is individually hand crafted and glazed utilizing a palette of colors inspired by his love for the Rocky Mountain West and Yellowstone National Park.  He enjoys creating one-of -a-kind items which feature bison and wildlife imagery.  The themes include Montana Sunset, Sky Blue, Red Skies, Turquoise River, and Moon Over Montana black motif.

Carl creates stoneware pottery for home and kitchen use.  Each piece, gas-fired in his kiln located at his studio in Bozeman, Montana is food safe, dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
